I really enjoyed this! I love AU of any kind and your Billy and Dom were quite clearly Billy and Dom, something that gets lost in translation sometimes. As others have said before me, your dialogue is fantastic all the way through, and I really loved the 'dates' being other cast members descriptions. Awesome!
I have so many lines that made me laugh or grin like a fool, but I shall try to keep it down to just a few here.
"What have I told you about biting?" Dom asks faintly, in a voice that's trying to be stern and failing. Billy licks the clear, red imprint of his teeth and snickers when it causes Dom's whole body to shudder. "Oh, yes, harder?" Billy suggests.
I loved that whole first hurried sex scene, but this was just the capper. I totally cackled out loud and woke the dogs up.
"I don't want you to get the wrong idea. The sex is great." Billy smiles crookedly. "Amazing, even. But lately, I've wanted..."
"More than just a fuck buddy?"
"More, yeah. Not with you, obviously," Billy assures him quickly. "I know you don't want anything like that. I joined a dating service, actually."
Oh, gord, how silly they are, with it staring them in the face and all.
It was weird. He's an artist and a poet. Very taciturn. I spent the entire evening trying to make conversation that he answered with really vague statements. Sounded like a fucking fortune cookie."
omg, I had tears. Viggo the fortune cookie. AHAHAHAA!!
Dom pulls him close. "Silly, stupid man. You're always welcome here." Billy just leans into him, every part of their bodies molding together. "Come on in," Dom offers, "I'll buy you a drink."
I love, love, love the ending. They aren't magically realizing that they're inloveomg or even looking for that just yet, but there's hope for btter. I know this is only a one-off, but I would not say no if you were ever to add on to it!
